![]() He who is faithful will little will be faithful with more.Ībout Pastor Robert, I’ve been blessed with his teachings, as well as with Todd White, Bob Hamp, Kris Vallotton and Bill Johnson. He also showed me a pattern of debt in my family, one I am finally breaking free from. It wasn’t that I didn't have money, I just didn’t have my priorities straight and God was showing me that. I also noticed my clothes, food and car gas last longer and I became wiser. Then I started noticing opportunities started to appear free financial classes, more working hours, a better job with less work but more income, an opportunity to go back to school and be able to finally get my certification to work on what I love most. When I started tithing I did it as an act of obedience, but I complained I didn’t have money left, I still did it. ![]() I’ve seen people who were christians, tithed and then left the church have their lives destroyed, not because God cursed them, but because they removed themselves from God’s umbrella (protection) it is a natural consequence of their actions, just as if you don’t don’t drink water, you will die in a few days. I believe tithing is not only an act of obedience but also of trusting God as I realized it is not my work who sustains me, but God himself and His promises. I’ve been tithing for years, not only money, but also my time, and I can tell you of how blessed I’ve been by trusting God. We can enter into this covenant when we believe in Him and choose to die to our own will, take up our cross, and follow Jesus. It’s easy to take small takes of a sermon and change the whole message to prove your point. This covenant is conditional upon the death of Jesus. In Hebrews 8:10, God said, “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a righteous life. The Israelites did not continue in God’s old covenant, and God promised to make a new covenant. However, it had no power to help us fulfill the law.ģ. The purpose of the old covenant was to show us what sin is. If the old covenant was faultless, we wouldn’t have needed a second one. ![]() The covenant God made with Moses, the Old Testament law, is obsolete (Hebrews 8:13). These covenants are encouraging because they aren’t contingent upon the people’s behavior but on God’s faithfulness.Ģ. And in God’s covenant with David, He promised to give a lamp to David and his sons forever (2 Chronicles 21:7). God’s covenant with Abraham that he would be a father of many nations was unconditional because God put Abraham asleep and made the covenant with Himself. God gave Noah a rainbow as a sign of the universal covenant He made to never again destroy the earth with a flood. Three of the five major covenants in the Bible are unconditional. ![]() Pastor Robert shares the covenants God created and the ultimate promise He made that empowers us to walk in victory.ġ. The covenant with Jesus requires us to believe in Him and surrender our will to God. There are five major covenants in the Bible some are unconditional, and some are conditional. The first time the word “covenant” is mentioned in the Bible is Genesis 6:18 when God makes a covenant with Noah.
